The Gryffindor Common Rooms +New Student Introduction+

"The Gryffindor Tower is located behind the portrait of the Fat Lady on the Seventh Floor of Hogwarts Castle.A circular hole is behind the painting, leading to the common room, which is a circular room where Gryffindor students can relax after a long day of studying. The common room is full of squashy armchairs, tables, and a bulletin board where school notices, ads, lost posters, etc. can be posted. A window looks out onto the grounds of the school, and a large fireplace dominates one wall. The common room is decorated with scarlet tapestries, which hang on the walls. It is usually where celebration parties are held after Gryffindor Quidditch victories."

She waves a shy greeting to the Fat Lady, a gentle smile on her features. Stepping into the Gryffindor common rooms for the first time is overwhelming for a girl who only ever dreamed of being here. Her eyes sparkle from the inside and perhaps they are lit from the spirit she possesses. Quillan throws her arms wide, tilts her head back and spins with a grin cracking to two halves of her face.

"I'm finally here!" She giggles, dropping her arms and blushing. She looks around quickly to see if anyone saw her, and chuckles again as some of the paintings held smiles. She'd need to get use to that, the unobtrusive and always vigilant eyes of people long dead. It was so unlike her home, a world were both wizard and muggle were toned down and put to the side so that only her studies existed. Her guardians were strict caretakers and wonderful men, yet they had no value for either lifestyle, just they books they held dear and the adventures they had.

Quillan smiles at their memory, her feet taking her upstairs to the girls dormitory for a second if only to peek around. She climbs back down the enchanted staircase to stand before the crackling flame of the fireplace and listen to the quiet before the storm.

"This is my new home." She whispers as the flames in the hearth leap to agree.
